Applicants should be fluent English speakers and need to have a flexible approach to their role. The role of Teaching Assistant is to support teaching and learning and to assist the teacher(s) in the delivery of the school’s curriculum. Our team of Teaching Assistants also play an important part in the fostering of students' personal, social and independence skills.
We are looking for a candidate with relevant experience working with groups of children of this age group. Candidates should be qualified as a Teaching Assistant at Cache level 2, hold an equivalent qualification in childhood education or relevant experience within a school setting.
As a Teaching Assistant, you have a patient and caring attitude and are committed to helping students progress. Also, you must have the ability to work well and collaboratively within a team. In addition, you will also have:
Confidence working with students both individually and in small groups who have varied needs;
Knowledge of the British curriculum and working within Key Stage 2.
